Why was Gary pinch hitting on Wednesday late in the game if he was on the verge of going on the IL??? Who checked him out and saw everything was fine? That person should not only be fired, but thrown into a volcano. Gary was the team’s most consistent hitter in 2019 so far. He was seeing the ball so well at the plate. Even defensively he was a different guy, with zero passed balls to this point and a clear focus on blocking balls in the dirt. This hurts really badly. Romine and Higgy are essentially zeroes defensively or offensively. I don’t know what to do at this point. I really don’t. This is an unfathomable start. I am irrationally angry. I just want to scream.
